These projects represent the foundation of experience that led Ryan Traylor to establish Synergy Development Group. Prior to forming his own firm, Ryan was frequently brought in — either hired directly or invited by ownership — to independently assess and turn around multifamily and residential projects that had become troubled, stalled, or financially distressed.

The projects shown below were executed while working for other companies. Many arrived in poor condition: delayed for years, burdened with red tags, missed inspections, incomplete scopes, underfunded budgets, or poorly coordinated plans. In each case, Ryan was tasked with stepping in, diagnosing the root causes, and implementing the project controls needed to stabilize and complete the work.

These experiences exposed the recurring patterns that separate projects destined to succeed from those destined to fail. Most failures are not the result of bad luck — they are the predictable outcome of weak preconstruction planning, poor interdisciplinary coordination, and the absence of proper project controls established before breaking ground.

Through these challenging assignments, Ryan developed a deep understanding of where and why projects derail. This firsthand knowledge became the driving force behind founding Synergy Development Group — to bring a higher standard of project execution, accountability, and systematic problem-solving to the Los Angeles market.
